π Northwest Golf Series β Terms & Conditions (Summer 2026)
1. Overview
The Northwest Golf Series (the βEventβ) is a private, independently-run amateur golf competition operated by an individual event director. By registering or participating in the Event, players agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Player Eligibility
To participate, players must:
β’ Be aged 18 or over
β’ Hold an active World Handicap System (WHS) index
β’ Register and pay entry fees in advance
β’ Agree to abide by the R&A Rules of Golf, local course rules, and event-specific conduct expectations
3. Entry & Fees
Entry fees are used solely to cover venue costs, prizes, and event operation. No refunds will be issued unless the organiser cancels the event or a valid medical withdrawal is approved in advance.
4. Format & Scoring
The competition format is Stableford scoring over three separate 18-hole events. League points are awarded per event and accumulate toward an overall leaderboard. All rules and tie-break procedures are outlined in the published Player Guide.
5. Prizes
The top finishers on the final leaderboard will receive non-cash prizes including golf holidays, rounds at UK resorts, and on-the-day spot prizes. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. If a prize becomes unavailable (e.g. due to travel restrictions), a similar replacement may be offered at the organiserβs discretion.
6. Conduct & Disqualification
The organiser reserves the right to disqualify or penalise players for:
β’ Using an incorrect or false handicap
β’ Disruptive, aggressive, or unsportsmanlike conduct
β’ Submitting falsified scorecards
β’ Repeated breach of pace-of-play or competition rules
7. Liability & Risk
All players enter and play at their own risk. The organiser accepts no liability for injury, illness, property loss, or accidents before, during, or after the Event. Players are encouraged to hold personal golf or accident insurance.
8. Cancellations & Force Majeure
In the event of extreme weather, course closure, or other unforeseen disruption, the organiser may cancel or reschedule the event. In such cases, efforts will be made to issue refunds or reschedule, but no guarantees are made. The organiser is not liable for travel or accommodation costs lost due to cancellation.
9. Data Privacy
Player names, handicaps, contact info, and scores may be collected and stored solely for the purpose of running the Event. Data will not be sold or shared. Players may request to view or delete their information at any time by contacting the organiser.
10. Photography & Promotion
By entering the Event, players consent to being photographed or recorded during play. These images may be used for promotional purposes on social media, websites, or marketing. If you do not wish to appear in media, please notify the organiser before the event.
11. Dispute Resolution
The organiserβs decisions regarding scoring, rules, tiebreaks, and disqualifications are final. Any disputes must be raised respectfully and will be handled fairly at the organiserβs discretion. Legal claims will be governed by UK law.
12. Acknowledgement & Acceptance
By entering the Event, players confirm they understand and accept these Terms & Conditions and agree to participate in good faith, in the spirit of fair amateur competition.
